Hunger, Environment and the Extraction Industries in Bolivia: Learn What You Can Do
Saturday, May 21st
Greenfield Presbyterian Church
Social Hall (enter Coleman St. lower door)
Greenfield Presbyterian will host visiting speaker Chenoa Stock at a special worship gathering on Saturday the 21st at 6 p.m. Chenoa will speak and show a short film highlighting the experiences of Bolivians, where mineral extraction is a major employer and average people take on many of the risks and consequences. A light buffet reception will follow the service. All donations will benefit the Joining Hands Initiative in Bolivia, which works to solve problems contributing to poverty and hunger: food & land, extractive industries & water, and trade reform.
(Sunday evening service at the church is cancelled.)
The Joining Hands Initiative of the Presbyterian Hunger Program (PHP) is a proven way to mobilize people in focused campaigns to tackle systemic causes of hunger both in the United States and abroad.
